"The Working People of St. Anthony's Have Built A Temple To The Lord"

This motto, which is inscribed in Latin above the main doorway of the church, is the inspiration and force that has sustained the work of the community. Working together, people can save this temple which serves in our community as a source of history and art, while fostering faith and community service.
This magnificent, historic church is a cornerstone in the fabric and growth of this city. Over the past 10 years, it has been painstakingly cleaned, painted, and repaired by our pastor, Monsignor Edmond Levesque. Recently, we discovered a number of challenges that must be addressed before they adversely impact the structure of the building.

During the year, the following repairs and restorations must be completed:
Excavation and replacement of the oil tanks: $ 200,000
Re-pointing the stone, repairing and caulking the windows that together form the semi-rotunda behind the vision, and repairing the leaks in the bell tower: $ 100,000 est.
Restoration of the Cassavant Bros. Organ: $ 120,000 est.
Replacement of the bathrooms: $ 5,000
In addition, we are developing a calendar of concerts and other community activities, and would appreciate corporate support or sponsorship. The Restoration Committee can be reached for details by calling Gisele Pappas at 508-995-5563.
